The International Baccalaureate Framework Performance
28th Mar 2019
More and more schools including AISPP, are now offering the IB in tandem with other curricula given it’s a wide-ranging appeal to universities and future employers, due to the rigorous, real-life learning experiences it offers and big global appeal.
IB students are high performers!
The IB Learning Framework is increasingly being offered in combination with other national curricula across all ages. In our case at AISPP, we provide the Australian National Curriculum, intertwined with IB Learning Programmes. It encourages personal and academic achievement at the highest level, challenging students to excel in their studies. It also encourages personal, social and emotional development, encouraging young people to grow into well rounded, knowledgeable and internationally-minded citizens.
The latest research confirms that IB students often perform better, with many going onto secure places at top universities across the globe. IB World School students develop strong academic, social and emotional characteristics. They are also likely to perform well academically – often better than students on other programmes.
IB is proven to work, with many benefits
Across all IB Learning Programmes, students develop approaches to learning skills and the attributes of the IB Learner Profile. This describes a broad range of human capacities and responsibilities that go beyond academic success alone. They encourage students to be inquirers, knowledgeable, big thinkers, great communicators and principled, open-minded, risk-takers, that are caring, balanced and reflective.
Our students support their community
Established IB programmes (now in their 50th year) also encourage students to be active in their communities and to enhance their learning by supporting initiatives in their locality. This responsibility instills confidence, tolerance, respect, raises awareness and increases knowledge.
AISPP: an IB World School candidate
Through the Australian Curriculum and IB programmes, our aim is to ensure each member of the school community achieves what they are truly capable of, also that they learn to respect themselves, other people and the community around them – it’s only then that they can grow into outstanding, successful individuals, ready to make their mark in the world.
AISPP, an Australian Co-ed IB International K-12 school (Phnom Penh), is fast becoming one of the Kingdom of Cambodia’s leading education providers.
